Restoring a door back to its glory.
There were some issues with the door from the start. Since it’s exposed to direct sunlight all day, it really takes a beating — but the real problem was that the previous work had used the wrong product. An interior stain was applied to an exterior fiberglass door, which just doesn’t work.

After 4 hours of scraping off flaking stain and sanding, I applied an exterior primer and followed up with two coats of exterior latex paint. Now the door looks better than new — and Patty was delighted!
